And now for something completely different. I don’t usually post about non-pupillage stuff, but my number 4 is cutting her hair off to make a wig for a child with cancer, which seems a worthy enough act for a worthy enough cause to justify a departure from the norm. All sponsorship gratefully received on the Justgiving page.

What you said could come across as a bit rude, don’t you think?
Whether you feel like you have been cheated out of a proper “climax”, it doesn’t detract from the fact that what Penina did – “cutting her hair off ” was the wording of the post, not “shave” – was an exceptional gesture that has no doubt been of great benefit to the charity in question, particularly the receiver of the wig – presumably there was enough hair for the two of them.
I, personally, think it’s amazing.

I’m sorry you think it is an anticlimax. I rather took the view that the altruistic act was the important thing, rather than becoming a participant in a sort of freak show for the pleasure of strangers. I suppose I’m very old-fashioned.
